This policy explains how Rennt collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when landlords use the Rennt mobile app and when tenants use Rennt's rent or deposit payment webpages.

Rennt is a rental-management service primarily intended for landlords in India. This policy applies to:

  • landlords using the Rennt mobile app, and
  • tenants or other recipients who open a shared rent-payment or deposit-payment webpage created through Rennt.

This policy applies to personal information processed through the Rennt mobile app, related web pages, and associated support or collection interactions.

Information We Collect

  • Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, profile image, and other details you choose to provide.
  • Identity, tax, payment, payout, billing, and recordkeeping information where relevant to using the service, including legal name and PAN where provided or required.
  • Property, tenancy, contact, collection, receipt, and transaction-related information submitted through Rennt.
  • Information shown or submitted through shared web pages used for payment, collection, or receipt-related interactions.
  • Device, browser, log, app update, and similar technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, including randomized app installation or update identifiers.

How We Use and Share Information

  • We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Rennt and its related payment, collection, and recordkeeping features.
  • We may use information to authenticate users, create and manage records, generate receipts or related documents, communicate with users, provide support, and comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations.
  • We may share information with service providers, payment-related partners, communication providers, professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
  • If you complete a payment through an external payment app or payment provider, that party may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Retention, Security, and Your Rights

  • We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and legal records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
  • We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
